Family History Know-How

Status:Active, open to new members
Leader:
When: On Monday afternoons
2nd Monday 2-4pm
Venue: The Pavilion

This group meets on the 2nd Monday of each month between 2-4pm at the Pavilion.

This is a friendly group for anyone with an interest in family or social history. If you’ve not started researching but would like to do so, or if you’ve already got well into your own research, there should be something to interest you. Even if you are not actively researching you are welcome to attend.

Generally the meetings will include:

• A talk or demonstration focussing on a different aspect of family history

• A glance at new releases of records and resources

• Sharing knowledge of useful resources

• Tips for better research

• Support doing personal research and help with breaking down brick walls, solving problems etc

It is not necessary to subscribe to a commercial family history website to be a part of this group, although you may find it useful to do so.

Travel to and from any venue used will be at the members’ own arrangement and cost. There are no foreseen health and safety issues. Members participate at their own risk.

It is in open group and both full members and associate members are welcome to come along.
